Microclimate Study
Microclimate study uses various methods to deliver a strategy for designing a comfortable environment. In general parametric study, Wind tunnel tests and computational fluid dynamics are the tools employed for this study.
Microclimate design requires all disciplines in a project to work together. Smooth relationship between disciplines and final microclimate design which address all design team concerns is the prime consideration for GWTS engineers.
The building shape, orientation, distribution of buildings, the spacing between buildings, materials used for buildings and roads construction and existing climate of the surrounding are some of the points considered in microclimate study. The output of the study will include evaluation of people comfort and performance of the surrounding in all months, the contribution of the building to the local environment and optimal design advice to achieve a sustainable microclimate.
