GWTS uses the latest 3D technology to model detail architectural features of a building and capture all local pressure variations. Our client will receive the building model detail and the pressure taps (sensor) locations before the model fabrication. We take all our clients input to finalize the wind tunnel model.

Cladding Pressures

Cladding pressures study is used to predict the local pressure variations on façade and façade elements. Wind tunnel scale model is used to determine net pressure of a building envelopes and structural elements. This study is recommended for high rise buildings, convention centres, stadiums and structures where their pressure distributions do not reliably determined by codes and standards. The cladding pressure wind tunnel test helps to achieve reducing project cost by avoiding overestimatiing(conservative design) or underestimating the wind loads in a complex flow field.

GWTS uses the latest 3D technology to model detail architectural features of a building and capture all local pressure variations. Net pressures on building façades will be presented for nominally sealed building as well as cases of window breakage scenario in discussion with our client. The cladding pressure study can be done by desktop study for simple structure and surrounding. The CFD can also be employed to increase understanding of the local pressure distributions.
Our Report of a wind tunnel study, both preliminary and final stage, is fully discussed with the design team of the project and addresses all requirements of the project design team and local authorities.
